Who they are
Born in Toronto in 1984 and raised in Kfar Saba, Haskel served in the Border Police through the Second Intifada, then spent six years in Australia qualifying as a veterinary nurse. She entered the Knesset for Likud in 2015 as its youngest member, moved to Gideon Sa'ar's New Hope in 2020, and became deputy foreign minister in 2024. She is known for leading the cannabis reform campaign, for animal welfare and environmental bills, and for a classical liberal line on the economy.
Positions and record
Haredi enlistment: She resigned over the arrest freeze, arguing the state cannot ask one mother to send her child into battle while promising another that hers will never be called.
Judea & Samaria: Wrote a phased sovereignty plan for the Jordan Valley and northern Samaria, and calls the settlements a shield for the coastal plain.
Coalition: Wants a government of Zionist parties from either side of the Netanyahu question, without the Haredi parties, the Arab parties or the Democrats.
