The Petek is independent. No party pays for placement, there are no ads, and nothing on the site sits behind a login. It stays that way as long as the hosting, the database that stores every published poll, and the hours of research behind each profile are covered.

What a contribution pays for

• Hosting and the polling database that refreshes the seat numbers every day
• Research time: reading primaries, list announcements, and platforms so the profiles stay current through election day
• Keeping the site free, for everyone, with no ads
