How the night runs

  1. 22:00: Polls close. Channels 11, 12 and 13 publish exit polls within minutes. They are not results, and this page will not print them as if they were.
  2. ~01:00: The Central Elections Committee starts publishing counted ballots by polling station. Our numbers update every few minutes from here on.
  3. ~08:00: Around 90% counted. Seat projections settle for most lists; lists near 3.25% can still move.
  4. 29 Oct: Double-envelope ballots, from soldiers, diplomats, hospitals and prisons, are counted. Usually worth a seat or two.
  5. 4 Nov: Official results are published. The President then consults every list and hands one leader the mandate to form a government.
