Who they are

Hani was born and lives in Acre, a mixed city she credits with giving her a belief in Arab-Jewish partnership from childhood. She runs mixed-cities dialogue programmes at the Mediation Center there and coordinates Arab society work. She spent years in the Negev, including in Hura, campaigning for recognition of the unrecognised Bedouin villages, and helped found both the Forum of Families of Murder Victims in Arab Society and the Wadi Attir sustainable community project. She was a close friend of Vivian Silver.
