Who they are

Konkol fought in Operation Defensive Shield in 2002 and the Second Lebanon War in 2006. He worked as Yair Lapid’s spokesman and became the prime minister’s spokesman in 2022. He joined Yoaz Hendel’s party in February 2026 and Blue and White in September.

Positions and record

War in Gaza: Opposes ending the war or signing a deal that leaves Hamas as a military threat or the governing authority in Gaza.

Unity government: Calls for a broad Zionist unity government, a position he reaffirmed when joining Blue and White in September 2026.

Military and protest: Opposes using military service as a tool of political protest. Said in November 2024 that involving the army in the judicial-reform protests had been a mistake.

Security appointments: Supports the prime minister and government choosing the heads of security agencies. In May 2026, declined to judge Roman Gofman’s suitability for the Mossad post.
