Feiglin says Zehut will recommend nobody but its own leader and will not join a government it does not head. The party has never won a seat: it took 2.7 percent in 2019 and sat out the three elections after that.
Who they are
Born in Haifa in 1962, Feiglin served as an IDF officer in the engineering corps and fought in the 1982 Lebanon War. He co-founded Zo Artzeinu in 1993, and its 1995 campaign blocking eighty road junctions against the Oslo Accords led to a sedition conviction two years later, served as community service. He then spent two decades inside Likud through his Manhigut Yehudit faction, challenging Netanyahu for the leadership three times and sitting in the Knesset as deputy speaker from 2013. He lives in Karnei Shomron; his grandson Yair, a Givati soldier, was killed in Gaza.
Positions and record
The Temple Mount: Wants Israeli control, Jewish prayer at all hours and a synagogue on the Mount, and has said he wants the Temple built now.
Economy: Flat tax, ministries cut from twenty-nine to eleven, school vouchers, and the welfare state wound down.
Conscription: Chairs a lobby for a professional army and would abolish the draft rather than argue about who is exempt from it.
