Who they are
Atiya was born in Lod on 12 February 1960 to a family from Djerba. She took a law degree at Ono Academic College and two more at Bar-Ilan, then ran the bureau of the Israel Aerospace Industries workers' organisation and from 2015 the staff of labour and welfare minister Haim Katz. She entered the Knesset in 2019 and has chaired its Special Committee on Foreign Workers since February 2025.
