Who they are

David Amsalem, known as Dudi, was born in 1960. He spent about twenty years at the Jerusalem Municipality, latterly heading its city-appearance division, after posts in the Finance Ministry, the National Insurance Institute's budget division and the Income Tax Commission. He entered the Knesset in 2015, was coalition chairman from 2017 to 2019 and communications minister from 2019 to 2020.

Positions and record

Judicial appointments: Filed a bill putting judicial appointments under the government with Knesset approval.

Supreme Court: Says the court discriminates against Mizrahi Jews and that its justices are detached.

Attorney general: Called the attorney general the most dangerous person in Israel and demanded her removal.
