Who they are
Sharifian Bachar was born in Tehran in the shadow of the Islamic Revolution and smuggled out to Israel at seven in a covert operation; Persian is her mother tongue. Raised in a conservative home, she fought for her right to enlist and left the IDF a captain. Her twenty-two years in the security establishment ran through both services: first the Shin Bet as a field combatant, then the Mossad in operational and intelligence roles, later as a big-data and cyber analyst, and finally as head of an intelligence branch in the operations division. She now runs the security and intelligence stream she founded in Eilat's schools, which won the military intelligence chief's prize for creative thinking.

The periphery: Argues every child in the periphery deserves the tools to lead and excel, and built the Eilat intelligence track to widen who reaches those units.
