Who they are

Born in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution and smuggled out to Israel at seven, Sharifian Bachar grew up in a conservative home and fought for her right to enlist, leaving the IDF a captain. She spent twenty-two years in the security establishment, as a Shin Bet field combatant and then in the Mossad, latterly as a cyber analyst and head of an intelligence branch. She founded the intelligence stream in Eilat's schools.

Positions and record

Resilience: Says she believes in the connection between security resilience and social resilience.

The periphery: Argues every child in the periphery deserves the tools to lead and excel, and built the Eilat intelligence track to widen who reaches those units.

Responsibility: Says she spent years as a combatant and manager behind the scenes watching fateful decisions get made, and that the moment no longer allows staying on the sidelines.
