The first independent Druze list to seek a Knesset seat in decades, launched on 4 May 2026 in Maghar by Colonel (res.) Wajdi Sarhan, who commanded the IDF's Druze battalion in the Second Lebanon War. Its case is that the community gave full partnership in duties and did not get the rights back: young Druze cannot get permits to build on their own family land, and reservists come home from the front to demolition orders. It breaks with the old arrangement in which Druze politicians were handed reserved slots on big Jewish parties' lists and then bound by coalition discipline.
The list, who comes with them
The list is not set yet. No slate and no selection method have been published. Coverage of the launch named a Druze religious judge, the mayor of Maghar, the head of the Yarka council and the director-general of the Druze Community Council, but the reports disagree about whether these were candidates or guests, so none is listed here. The party says its candidates come from the Carmel, the Galilee and the Golan and include women, and it has named none of them. The real question is the vehicle rather than the order: its own polling puts it at about a seat and a half against a threshold of roughly four, and Sarhan says it will either form a technical bloc with other small parties or join a big one as a separate faction.
Rank on the slip decides who enters the Knesset. No pollster asks about this list, so there is no seat projection to set that rank against.
