Who they are

Born in Jerusalem on 28 September 1980, the eldest son of Agudat Yisrael leader Meir Porush, he founded Chaim LeNefesh, an organisation for at-risk youth and prisoners, in 2006, then moved to Elad in 2008 and became a deputy mayor there. He was mayor of Elad from 2013 until February 2024, and has chaired the Magen U'Moshia conscription-response centre since August 2025.
