Who they are
Bashir was born on 23 June 1974. She graduated from Beit Berl in 1998 and began working as a therapist for the Education Ministry in Ar’ara that year. She earned a second bachelor’s degree at Levinsky College in 2000 and a master’s at Derby in 2009. She advised Jatt council on women’s affairs from 2019 to 2021 and founded the Insan nonprofit.

Environment: Bashir wants environmental policy to assess which communities bear pollution and receive infrastructure investment, with affected residents involved in planning.
Public safety: In January 2025 Bashir called for an immediate state of emergency over crime in Arab communities and stronger police protection for residents.
LGBTQ rights: Bashir supports full equality for LGBTQ people and legislation protecting everyone from discrimination and violence regardless of sexual orientation.
