Who they are

Negri spent two decades in school administration, latterly as principal of middle schools in Kfar Saba and Kochav Yair. She joined Ra'anana municipality in 2006 to run its education administration and was the city's director-general from 2013 to 2019, the first woman in the post. She ran for the Knesset in 2019 on Orly Levy-Abekasis's Gesher list, and co-founded the education consultancy EDU NOW with Shai Piron.

Positions and record

Local government: Municipal management experience in national politics.

Administration: Service delivery and local resilience.

Governance: Professional managers over party operatives.

Conscription law activism: Negri's son, Maj. (res.) Roey Negri, a Lotar counter-terror unit team commander, was killed on October 7, 2023 in the battle to retake Kibbutz Be'eri; she has since been an outspoken member of the bereaved-families' "Enlisting for Unity" forum, saying "my son fell defending the only state we have -- I don't want it to be in vain," and campaigning publicly against the Haredi conscription exemption law.
