Who they are

Taha is a lawyer from Kafr Kanna and worked with its popular committee by 2015. Police arrested and released him during a Balad funding inquiry in 2016; his final case outcome is unverified. He was Balad’s Nazareth district coordinator by 2019. He was elected to its political bureau in August 2024.

Positions and record

Housing and planning: In June 2015, opposed home demolitions in Kafr Kanna and called for the council to pursue planning work and court challenges, supported by a team of lawyers.

Community safety: In June 2026, called for sustained reconciliation programmes involving young people and the families in disputes, with repeated meetings over several months.
