Who they are
Madan is a son of Rabbi Yaakov Madan, rosh yeshiva of Har Etzion, and helped found the community of Avigail in the Hebron hills. He served as a reserve combat soldier and was severely wounded by a roadside bomb in Beit Hanoun on 11 November 2023, losing both legs. He lit the healing and rehabilitation torch at the Mount Herzl ceremony for Israel's 77th Independence Day in April 2025.
