Who they are
Sarhan was born in 1970 and grew up in Maghar. He joined Herev in 1989, commanded the battalion in the 2006 Lebanon war and later led the Alon reserve brigade. He retired as a colonel in 2017 and entered Maghar's council in 2018. He worked in insurance, became deputy mayor in 2024 and founded Brit Achim in May 2026.
Positions and record
Land and permits: He said in June 2026 that a solution to planning and building-permit restrictions in Druze towns would be a condition of any political alliance.
Coalitions: He said in June 2026 that he was willing to join a government with any of the Zionist parties, without making support for or opposition to Netanyahu the deciding issue.
The north: He called in May 2026 for a lasting military resolution on the northern border, saying residents would not accept repeated rounds of fighting.
Northern employment: He called in June 2026 for better jobs in northern Israel and equal employment opportunities for its residents.
