Who they are
Born in 1991 in Mi'ilya in the western Galilee to parents who both worked for the government, Abed studied economics and political science at Earlham College in the United States, where student protest shaped her politics. She joined Standing Together after campaigning against the Nation-State Law, and was elected to Haifa city council in 2024 on the joint Arab-Jewish list she co-founded.

Municipal budgets: Led a successful campaign against a cut of nearly two million shekels from Haifa's welfare budget.
