Yoftaro worked as an electrician before advising cannabis patients and co-founding CanHeal. He completed a medical-cannabis course at the Technion. In 2024, after his prison sentence was overturned on appeal, he received 350 hours of community service, a suspended sentence and a fine for growing cannabis. He led Ale Yarok into Israel First in September 2026.
Positions and record
Cannabis regulation: In April 2021, he proposed classifying cannabis as a dietary supplement and integrating it into the healthcare system.
Patient care: In April 2021, he called for tested cannabis products matched to individual patients and for the Health Ministry to provide guidance on treatment.
Mental health: At their September 2026 joint launch, he and Haskel called for treatment and research for soldiers and civilians with post-traumatic stress following the war.
