The designation is the party's and Bennett's, not his own: the joining announcement has him leading the program for treating IDF wounded in body and mind, and Bennett called him the person to lead the rehabilitation project in the next government. Varon himself has named no job.
Who they are
Varon is 30 and read economics at Haifa University before a master's in information systems at Tel Aviv. He served most of his army career in Maglan, commanded a company in the Paratroopers' 202nd Battalion during the war, and is a reserves major. Severely wounded in Gaza, he was back in command two weeks later, and co-founded the Katef el Katef reservist movement. His civilian employment is not on the public record.
