Positions and record

Women’s safety: Zer Katzenstein proposes wider use of electronic monitoring and two years of income support for women after they leave a shelter.

Equality: She would add equal minority rights to the Nation-State Basic Law, reduce funding for parties with fewer than 40% elected women, and require at least 40% of each gender in senior public jobs.

Religion & state: She supports civil marriage and divorce through a Justice Ministry registry and family courts, with religious courts acting only with both spouses’ written consent.

Service: She wants all combat, technical and command roles open to women on professional criteria alone.

Childcare: She would align nursery carers’ pay with kindergarten assistants’ pay and subsidise recognised nursery fees to cap them at NIS 3,000 a month.
