Who they are

Shoshani was born in Kibbutz Beit Hashita and became Metula's security coordinator in 1987. He ran a shooting range in Katzrin and the Habaronit guesthouse in Metula. He stood for Blue and White in 2021 and National Unity in 2022. He commanded Metula's civilian readiness squad and became a reserve major in December 2023.

Positions and record

Firearms licensing: In June 2018 he supported licences only for suitable applicants, training focused on content rather than fixed hours, and instructors reporting unsuitable applicants to licensing officials.

Business compensation: In August 2021 he called for coronavirus compensation to reflect business growth, fixed costs and individual circumstances. He said border tourism businesses needed annual averages when a security incident had depressed the comparison month.

Grant repayments: In August 2021 he called for graduated recovery of coronavirus grants according to the percentage of lost turnover, rather than an all-or-nothing threshold.
